CHRYSLER JEEP DETROIT APBA GOLD CUP July 9-12, 1998

A quick reminder about a very special Kickoff Party for 1998. This Thursday! (June 25th)

Noted marine artist Jim Clary's painting "The First 80" will be unveiled at Gar Wood's Bayview Lodge. Titled in honor of Gar Wood's 1921 win in the Harmsworth Trophy Race at Detroit, it is the first of 4 in an annual series. There will be a limited edition print (1000) of each painting.

See "www.thunderfest.com/mmart/clary.html" for more details. I'll try to post a picture after the unveiling.

The party is $5.. Gar Wood's Bayview Lodge: (810) 465-6300. Take I-94 East to the N. River Road exit, follow NRR East, and go left near the end at Conger Bay Rd (watch for Belle Maer Harbor sign).

In the next issues you'll hear more about related parties around town, our WWW plans, and also pilot Julie Clark's aerobatic demonstration in her "Mopar T-34".
