*** THE AUTOMOTIVE GOLD CUP WAS CANCELLED FOR FRIDAY
Without any official notification, the Unlimited Lights testing and qualifying as well as the AGC start times came and went. Not one UL has hit the water. It seems politics plays the role, with most or all of it out of the control of Thunderfest. Everyone at SODT and our fans are hoping an agreement can be reached to run the weekends UL races ... the event takes a big hit without them.

I missed it, but I understand there was an incident in one of the heats with 2 or 3 boats coming together and 4 racers in the water. At least one boat was damaged - looks like the righthand tube was cut open by a prop at the rear. I don't believe there were any injuries but it was a close call.
