Please join us for an auction to benefit the George Stratton Memorial Trust,
an educational fund that has been established for his children Christopher
and Natalia.
The live auction will feature 'auctioneer extraordinaire' N. Mark Evans, and there will be a silent auction as well. Auction items will undoubtedly consist of rare Unlimited Hydroplane racing souvenirs, Red Wings items, NASCAR items, restaurant gift certificates, and much more. The event will be held at the Detroit Yacht Club on March 24, 2001, and is being put together by many organizations including Thunderfest, Unlimiteds Detroit, USA Racing Partners, Marine Propriders, as well as other individuals and groups. Please pass the word, and let us know if you have something to donate to the auctions.

Sunday September 17 was a sad day for the hydro community.
George Stratton of the USA Racing Partners team was fatally injured during a practice run on Mission Bay in San Diego, while piloting the U-5 Appian Jeronimo / Lowry's Big Beef Jerky hydroplane. Our thoughts and prayers go out to George's family and the USA Racing Partners team. We will miss you greatly George. |
